District Administration is perhaps the single most important agency for implementation of State Policy. Thus, service delivery at this level needs continuous improvement.

Training of the Officers at the Centre
The Centre functions as the hub of all research and training activities, at the district level. It not only gives a platform for training Govt. employees but also acts as a forum for awareness generation among various other partners of the Govt. like the Panchayats and Self Help Groups.
The Centre functions under the Chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner. Training programmes for ministerial staff, sessions on Punjab Financial Rules etc. have already been conducted under the aegis of this Centre.
